about

Strange is the path of the cycles of reincarnation. Namely, once there was a quartet and it re-emerged as a five headed beast. When Miusow is playing, in their firm yet delicate music one hears echoes of the former four member group, the previous phonogram, since running away from their past is not something Miusow does. At the same time, they are not trying to merely replicate it, and so the new chapter treats the audience with fresh musical flashes and sonic stories created with an authoritative, atypical sub Alpine stance. The new Miusow have more up their sleeve to lure you into their soundworld with than simply offering free entry. There is the dynamic fusion of acoustic music and electronic sounds, the merging of music-making of both Slovenian and cosmopolitan nature, along with direct presentation of intergenerational coexistence.
Pyotr Alexandrovich Miusov was a man of the Age of Enlightenment, an European through and through. And such – in the best of meanings – are Miusow, too. Open, freedom-loving, their stew is made using the personal fascinations and histories of the members. Eventually you are served a soundscape that is adventurous musics aficionadosfriendly.

released November 17, 2019

Miusow are: Andrej Čopar (saxophones, flute), Žiga Murko (trombone, electrodes), Peter Pavičić (guitar), Žiga Golob (double-bass), Blaž Grm (drums, piano). You could have never encoutered these names in socialite, red carpet sections of glossy magazines, or aesthetic surgery reports, that is for sure. Therefore, surrender to your curiosity, become adventurous for a moment, and peek through the same caleidoscope utilized by Miusow. You will not regret it.
